This policy explains how StudioLearn collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you browse the marketplace, create an account, publish or study a course, communicate, or use platform features.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information generated through your use of the service, and limited technical information needed to operate and secure StudioLearn.
- Account and profile information, such as name, email address, role, biography, and profile image.
- Course, lesson, review, message, support, moderation, and creator-payout information you submit.
- Enrollment, learning progress, certificates, purchases, refunds, and transaction references. StudioLearn does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Device, browser, IP-derived security, session, error, and usage information, including anti-abuse signals.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide accounts and courses, process enrollment and payments, display progress, enable communication, prevent fraud and abuse, support users, comply with law, and improve the service.
- Contract performance when information is needed to provide requested services.
- Legitimate interests in security, reliability, analytics, moderation, and product improvement.
- Consent where required, including optional marketing communications.
- Legal obligations, dispute handling, accounting, and enforcement of platform rules.
Service providers and international processing
StudioLearn uses service providers to operate the platform. Depending on the feature, these may include Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Cloudflare for security and AI services, and LiveKit for live classes. They process information under their own terms and our applicable agreements.
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account operation, security, legal, tax, payment, and dispute obligations. Retention periods vary by record type.
We use access controls, encryption in transit, authentication safeguards, logging, backups where enabled, and other technical and organisational measures. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision. California residents may also have rights concerning sale or sharing, sensitive information, and non-discrimination. StudioLearn does not sell personal information for money.
- Update available profile information in account settings.
- Unsubscribe from optional emails using the link in the message.
- Send a verified privacy request to support@studiolearn.net. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
- You may complain to your local data-protection authority where applicable.
Children
StudioLearn is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this policy as the platform, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
